Healthcare costs continue to be one of the most significant challenges facing employers today. At the same time, employees are often left navigating a fragmented healthcare system that can be confusing and time-consuming. The result is not only higher costs, but also unnecessary stress, delayed care, and lost productivity due to time spent away from work.
The challenge isn’t a lack of good intentions. Part of the problem lies with a healthcare system that often rewards the number of services delivered rather than better coordination, higher quality, and improved outcomes.
