As a reminder, the Department of Labor (DOL) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued Disaster Relief Notice 2021-01 (the Notice) that further defined previously issued tolling periods for certain COBRA timeframes. Shortly after, Congress passed the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) which included a COBRA subsidy for certain individuals.
As a result, key aspects of our COBRA premium billing services were impacted.
We are sending the following notification to many of your groups which provides an overview of the impacts to their COBRA population(s).
- This notice will be sent to groups that have a COBRA billing arrangement set up with Univera Healthcare.
- If Lifetime Benefits Solutions (LBS) or another company provides COBRA Administration services to your group(s) they may not receive this notice from Univera Healthcare.
We need your support to determine if a group has an individual who is eligible for the subsidy or extended enrollment period.
